Unit: Local IT Support

Are you an IT technician who thrives on providing support to operations? Apply for the job with us and become part of our work towards a common, world-class digitized healthcare support system! We are looking for an IT technician for the IT Centre's local office in Eksjö. We welcome your application!

The Role of IT Technician

As an IT technician in Local IT Support within the IT Centre, you will work with case management within processes for handling incidents and standard orders. Your main tasks will include troubleshooting, installation, and configuration of IT components for our workstation services within the region's hospitals and health centers. An important part of the assignment is managing and supporting the region's printer solutions, including installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and user support. You will also work with mobile telephony, video, and conference room systems, as well as certain parts of our communication solutions and IT components in the region's public transport and ambulances.

We offer an immediate full-time position, but due to holidays, the recruitment process will have a pause of approximately 6 weeks. We are booking interviews on a rolling basis.

Your Future Workplace

The IT Centre is a business area within the Region of Jönköping County with the overall responsibility for the region's IT operations. The work is directed towards all the region's operations. Our customers use many different IT services in their daily lives within healthcare, public dental care, education, culture, and county transport. This means that we always make decisions from a holistic perspective where the customer's needs and priorities are a key factor in all our activities and choices.

The IT Centre works according to agile principles with the citizen in focus, as well as support processes according to ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library). The IT Centre's operations consist mainly of investigation, administration, development, and operation of IT system services. The strategic goals for the IT Centre include, among other things, that IT is an enabler for operations and citizens, working with quality as a strategy, and developing professional and improvement knowledge among our employees. We work process-oriented and quality-conscious in accordance with our ISO-certified business system. We have a total of approximately 270 employees and are located in three places: Eksjö, Huskvarna/Jönköping, and Värnamo.

Local IT Support is a unit located at the three hospitals within the region and is responsible for delivering on-site support for the services used by all employees in the region. Our support consists of providing assistance during incidents, handling product orders, lifecycle management, and practical installation support for IT components. In these tasks, we collaborate closely with our Service Desk IT Support and administration groups.

Your Profile

To be considered for the position, you have post-secondary education in IT or equivalent knowledge/education combined with experience that we assess as equivalent. We would like you to have experience working with IT support and user-facing service, preferably in environments where you have independently been responsible for troubleshooting, installation, and support out in the operations. You have good knowledge of working with case management systems and several years of experience within Microsoft's current client platform. A driver's license is required to deliver on-site support at our external operations, not just at the hospitals.

To thrive in the role, you are proactive and take responsibility for driving your tasks forward, both independently and together with others. You have good collaboration skills, are service-oriented, and communicate clearly in contact with users and colleagues. You are flexible and can adapt to changed conditions, decisions, and existing policies. With a quality-conscious work approach, you work in a structured and careful manner, even during periods of high workload, where you can prioritize and make well-founded decisions. Documentation of work methods and routines is a natural part of your work. You value security and confidentiality and have an interest in developing both yourself and the operations. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
