With our client, you will help develop the hearing protection of the future – where smart signal processing, acoustics, and software meet in innovative products. We are now looking for you who are passionate about sound and technology and want to grow in a long-term role together with an engaged and highly competent team.

About the Role

As a Developer in Audio/Acoustics/Audio Signal Processing, you will become part of a specialized team working with digital signal processing for both passive and electronic hearing protection. Your focus will be on analyzing, processing, and optimizing sound – from microphone to speaker – to create the best possible user experience, especially within voice communication in noisy environments.

You will work in cross-functional development projects together with colleagues in hardware, mechanics, software, and production. The role involves overall responsibility for the audio chain, where you both develop new algorithms and refine existing solutions.

Examples of tasks:

  • Develop and implement algorithms for audio and signal processing
  • Work with simulation and modeling in e.g., MATLAB
  • Implement solutions on embedded platforms
  • Explore and apply AI/ML in audio, e.g., for noise reduction and speech extraction
  • Participate in concept development and early stages of product creation
  • Test, measure, and evaluate sound in advanced laboratory environments

The work is conducted agilely with daily stand-ups and close collaboration within the team. You have great freedom under responsibility and work hands-on with real products from idea to finished solution. The work is performed on-site, with the possibility of remote work one day a week.

Your Profile

Requirements for the position:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in e.g., technical physics, electrical engineering, computer science, or equivalent
  • Experience with audio signal processing, acoustics, or audio either through education/work/personal interest
  • Knowledge of C
  • Understanding of the interaction between software and hardware
  • English proficiency in speech and writing

In Värnamo, one of the company's most important development centers for personal protective equipment is located, with approximately 300 employees – of which around 50 work in R&D.
