Your Role

Saab Training & Simulation is in an intense phase of development, further developing special and separate IT environments, so-called Special Purpose Environments (SPE). To support the continued development of the business, we are now looking for a Senior IT Architect who wants to take overall responsibility for the architecture within our development, production, and external site environments.

In this role, you work together with other architects to ensure that our IT solutions meet the business's needs, internal requirements, and customer commitments. You maintain close dialogue with the business and various stakeholders within the company to understand needs, translate requirements into technical solutions, and contribute to a long-term sustainable IT architecture.

As a Senior IT Architect, you also serve as procurement competence towards central IT functions regarding issues such as networks, VLANs, client solutions, and system integrations. You are responsible for creating network diagrams, principle sketches, and technical documentation, and you provide guidance in architecture and design matters.

The role also involves understanding and applying various cybersecurity regulations and ensuring that solutions are designed in accordance with both internal compliance requirements and contractual obligations.

You will become an important part of a business-close organization with a high rate of change, where you have the opportunity to influence future technical decisions.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who have several years of experience in IT architecture or another senior technical role and who thrive in the borderland between business and technology. You have broad IT competence with a good understanding of networks, clients, servers, device management, and cybersecurity, as well as experience in creating architecture documentation, network diagrams, and technical principle sketches.

As a person, you are structured and have the ability to see the big picture without losing important details. You are unpretentious in your approach and can switch between strategic discussions and operational issues depending on the business's needs. Through your experience, you have developed confidence in acting as an advisor to the business and decision-makers, where you can clearly and pedagogically translate technical requirements, risks, and opportunities into recommendations and solutions that create business value.

We also see that you have an interest in information and cybersecurity issues and the ability to understand and apply various regulations and requirement profiles in complex IT environments.

It is an advantage if you have experience with architecture work in production-close IT environments and in designing and managing larger, complex network solutions involving both Windows and Linux platforms.

We also expect you to have very good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing.

The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to the current security clearance regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for specific citizenship.
