IT Technician (Mälardalen Region)

The company assists municipalities and businesses with services in waste management, sludge and water/sewage, recycling, transport, and contracting. About the Role

Ohlssons continues to grow in the Mälardalen and Värmland regions, and we are now looking for an IT Technician who wants to help ensure a stable, secure, and well-functioning IT environment in line with our group's development. As an IT Technician, you will have a broad and varied role with responsibility for the operation, maintenance, and support of our digital infrastructure. The role covers everything from installing and configuring computers, phones, and software to troubleshooting, user support, and maintaining network equipment. You will work closely with the business operations and become a key contact person for IT-related matters, using your technical expertise to contribute to solutions that create value in daily work and provide our colleagues with the right conditions to succeed in their roles.

You will be part of an IT team currently consisting of five employees, reporting to the IT Manager. The team is primarily based at the headquarters in Landskrona, while this position is based at our regional office in Märsta. The role also involves regular visits to our operations in the Mälardalen and Värmland regions.

Main responsibilities:

• Provide support to users regarding hardware, software, and IT-related issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain computers, mobile phones, and other IT equipment.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
• Work with network equipment.
• Coordinate and follow up on cases with external suppliers and partners.
• Participate in the implementation of new systems, upgrades, and technical projects.
• Contribute to the development and efficiency of IT processes and working methods.

Profile

You have a few years of experience in IT and feel confident handling technical challenges independently in daily work. As a person, you are naturally service-oriented and solution-focused, with a good ability to create structure and collaborate. You enjoy combining technology and service, and are driven by finding sustainable solutions that make a difference in the business.

We are looking for someone who appreciates both operational IT work and user interaction. You have a good understanding of the business's needs and see the value in contributing technical competence that creates the right conditions for the organization to succeed.

Experience and Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in IT or equivalent work experience.
• A few years of experience working as an IT Technician, Support Technician, or in a similar role.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and Windows environments.
• Experience working in case management systems.
• Experience providing support to both office staff and blue-collar workers.
• Knowledge of networking, client management, and permission administration.
• Good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Valid driver's license (Category B), as travel is required for the role.
