What do we offer you?
We offer the opportunity to work as a mother tongue teacher with remote teaching on Fridays. This means you can work from anywhere in Sweden.
The teaching takes place via Microsoft Teams and is scheduled for Friday afternoons. The teaching is conducted in mixed-year student groups where the students remain at their home schools. During lessons, they receive help and support from remote supervisors, with whom you will collaborate closely.
Friday mornings are used for regulated working hours such as conferences and competence development where all mother tongue teachers participate.
You will be part of a work group consisting of approximately 25 mother tongue teachers.
Your tasks include planning, implementing, and evaluating your teaching according to the curriculum and course plan for mother tongue. You monitor, assess, grade, and document students' knowledge development. Additionally, the role involves attendance reporting, handling student absences, and contacting guardians. The assignment may also include assessing whether a student meets the national requirements to participate in mother tongue instruction. Additional tasks may include creating materials, planning, implementing, assessing, and grading students in special examinations.

Who are you?
We are looking for someone who
- has Minskeli as their mother tongue.
- holds a teaching license.
- has documented good knowledge of their mother tongue.
- has good ability to express themselves in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
- is familiar with using digital IT programs such as Microsoft Teams, Word, and Outlook.
- is accustomed to working with IT as a pedagogical tool.
- is well-versed in the Swedish school system and national steering documents such as the curriculum and course plan for mother tongue in primary school.
- has good knowledge and understanding of the curriculum's value base and view of knowledge.
It is meritorious if you
- have experience with mother tongue teaching.
- have experience adapting teaching based on mixed-age groups and different knowledge levels.
- have experience formulating opinions on students' knowledge development and setting grades.
- have experience working with remote teaching of students.
- have experience using Schoolsoft or another learning platform.
As a person, you are flexible, structured, result-oriented, and take great responsibility for your tasks. You have the ability to inspire your students and strive to create a positive learning environment. You have high expectations of your students and their ability to develop. As a person, you enjoy collaborating and building good relationships with others, such as colleagues, guardians, remote supervisors, and other school staff.

The position is 10% and is time-limited to the period 2026-08-11 – 2027-06-16.

About Us
The Child and Education Administration is responsible for the municipality's preschools, primary schools, upper secondary schools, adapted schools, and culture schools. We work together to create a learning environment where children, students, and employees succeed and become their best selves. The administration's mission is to coordinate, plan, and support the various operations, as well as work for coordination between school and working life.
We offer mother tongue teaching from grade 3 through upper secondary school. Close collaboration occurs between mother tongue teachers and staff at the schools where mother tongue teaching takes place. We currently have approximately 800 students participating in mother tongue teaching in primary and upper secondary schools.
