Kunskapsgymnasiet Västerås is looking for a Mathematics Teacher!

Kunskapsgymnasiet Västerås is an upper secondary school with three university-preparatory programs: the Natural Science program, the Economics program, and the Social Science program. We currently have approximately 260 students. The school was founded in 2006 and is centrally located in large, bright premises near the central station. We have undergone significant change work over the past six years and are now in a new, exciting phase of change. We are looking for new employees who want to be part of continuing to develop our school. In this work, we will need employees who are passionate about working with young people and who are also great team players. This autumn, our company will also launch a mathematics initiative that you and the subject team will be a part of.

For every student to succeed in school, we need more professionally skilled teachers with a strong commitment to the student. Therefore, we are looking for you who always work actively to ensure that your students reach as far as possible based on their own prerequisites. In addition to being a subject teacher, you are also a study coach for a small group of students, and you hold coaching conversations with your students every week, either individually or in groups.

We help each other plan work in program teams, year-level teams, and subject teams. We place great importance on cooperation among colleagues and prioritize collegial learning. Kunskapsskolan in Sweden, which includes Kunskapsgymnasiet, started its first schools in 2000 and today has 29 primary schools and six upper secondary schools with 1,350 employees and 14,400 students. Kunskapsskolan is owned by founder Peje Emilsson and his family.

Qualifications
Upper secondary school teacher with qualifications in mathematics and one additional subject, preferably within the natural sciences. You should be well-versed in the curriculum and formative assessment.

Desirable Qualifications
We are looking for upper secondary school teachers who want more from the teaching profession than just teaching their subjects. You should enjoy classroom leadership and do your utmost to help every student reach as far as possible based on their prerequisites. It is also desirable if you have had various leadership roles and enjoyed them.

Terms of Employment
The position is a permanent full-time position.
