We are looking for an experienced and engaged Spanish teacher for our national programs and mentor for the Introduction Program at Kungsängsgymnasiet in beautiful Sala. We are looking for you who have extensive experience working in a solution-focused manner, with a student-centered approach where every student's development and needs are at the center.

About the workplace

Kungsängsgymnasiet is a modern upper secondary school with approximately 480 students. We offer eight national programs as well as the Introduction Program. Our goal is for every student to succeed, and for three years we have received support in our work from the Swedish National Agency for Education's initiative "Samverkan för bästa skola" (Collaboration for the Best School).

The students feel safe and enjoy being at the school, which is reflected in our safety surveys, and we have a high proportion of qualified teachers. At our school, it is important that both students and staff are seen and that students receive the support they need. We actively work to create a safe and inclusive environment where everyone is given the opportunity to develop and reach their goals.

Job Responsibilities

As a teacher with us, you will teach Spanish at the national programs and also serve as a mentor for the Introduction Program. You will become part of an engaged team and collaborate closely with colleagues within the program and subject groups, as well as with the Student Welfare Team (EHT).

We are looking for you who

  • Have pedagogical experience and can teach Spanish at the upper secondary level.
  • Have good collaboration skills with students, colleagues, and other staff.
  • Have clear leadership and a strong belief in students' ability to achieve good academic results.
  • Are flexible, creative, and use ICT in teaching.
  • Have long experience with good results in mentoring.
  • Are well-versed in the Introduction Programs IMA/IMY/IMS.
  • Personal suitability is highly valued.

Qualifications

  • Are a certified teacher with eligibility to teach Spanish in upper secondary school, or alternatively have experience teaching Spanish at the upper secondary level.
  • Good subject knowledge and a positive, inclusive approach.

Meritorious

  • Long experience in working with mentoring.

Terms of Employment

Individual salary setting

Commencement: August 10, 2026, or by agreement

A police record extract is required upon offer of employment. This is according to the Act on Register Control in School, Leisure, and Preschool Activities. The Swedish Police Authority's criminal record register, RPS 442.5 (14-01-14).
