Your responsibilities

As a special needs teacher/special educator, you work closely with teachers and work teams to create the best conditions for students' learning and development. You collaborate with teachers regarding teaching from a student perspective and contribute to developing an accessible learning environment for all students.

In this role, you serve as a professional support and sounding board for teachers through good communication, collaboration, and relationship-building work. You contribute special pedagogical competence in both preventive and promoting initiatives.

You work with identifying and analyzing areas for development at both the organizational level and in individual teaching situations. Through your work, you contribute to developing the school's operations and strengthening the quality of teaching so that it becomes accessible to all students.

Your qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with a special needs education degree or a special educator degree.

It is positive if you have experience teaching in grades F–6 and experience supervising school staff regarding teaching for students in need of special support. Previous experience as a special needs teacher or special educator is desirable, as is an interest in mathematics.

As a person, you are secure, stable, and self-reliant with a good ability to take responsibility and drive your work forward. You are flexible, collaborative, and have a professional approach. With your pedagogical insight, you adapt teaching and communication to the different needs of students.

Brandthovdaskolan is a school for grades F-6 with an associated after-school center. Approximately 300 students attend the school. The position is a vacation cover position.

Before you can be employed, you need to show a clean extract from the police's criminal record register.
