Competence Center in Köping is looking for an engaged teacher of Swedish and Swedish as a Second Language

Competence Center in Köping is the municipality's adult education provider and is part of the Social and Employment Administration. Every year, over 800 students study with us in courses such as Swedish for Immigrants (SFI), adapted education, basic adult education, upper secondary adult education, and vocational higher education programs.

We are now looking for an engaged and development-oriented teacher of Swedish and Swedish as a Second Language at the upper secondary level who wants to help strengthen adults' language skills and create opportunities for further studies, work, and personal development.

Job Responsibilities

As a teacher of Swedish and Swedish as a Second Language, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on teaching for adult students with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and goals.

You teach Swedish and Swedish as a Second Language at the upper secondary level according to GY25, as well as Swedish and Swedish as a Second Language at the basic level. The position includes both classroom teaching and distance/remote teaching.

You actively work to create an accessible, inclusive, and motivating learning environment where students are given the prerequisites to develop and achieve their goals.

Evening classes are offered as we provide education both during the day and in the evenings.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a teaching license with eligibility to teach Swedish and Swedish as a Second Language at the upper secondary level.
• Has experience in teaching within adult education or other relevant educational activities.
• Is confident in your pedagogical role and has a good ability to create structure, motivation, and a conducive study environment.
• Has good digital competence and uses digital tools as a natural part of teaching.
• Is flexible, receptive, and has an inclusive approach.
• Has good collaboration skills and contributes to the development of the operations.
