Adapted Primary School Locally Integrated at Nibbleskolan

At the adapted primary school, we have students studying subject areas and subjects in grades 1–9. We have four classes in our operations and an after-school center (fritidshem), which is also locally integrated at Nibbleskolan.

Job Responsibilities

As a teacher in the after-school center, you will also work in the classroom during school hours. Together with your colleagues, you will lead and develop the after-school center based on the curriculum for after-school centers. In Hallstahammar Municipality, we have two overarching working groups within development and administration to increase equality within the after-school centers in Hallstahammar. We actively work to increase cooperation between Nibbleskolan's two after-school activities: the after-school center for primary school and the after-school center for the adapted primary school.

The adapted primary school conducts active student health work, where our student health team—consisting of special education teachers, speech therapists, psychologists, counselors, school nurses, and the principal—guides staff in their daily work.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed teacher in the after-school center with an interest in developing the after-school center. We seek someone with experience working with students at the adapted primary school and in the after-school center. A large part of your daily work will be acting as the extended arm between the special education teacher and the students during school instruction. You should also be able to actively participate in the students' swimming lessons. We are looking for a colleague who sees opportunities and wants to provide our students with experiences and knowledge about leisure activities and the local community.

As a person, you are calm, secure, and have the ability to create a creative work environment that encourages motivation and learning, based on the curriculum. You act according to the school's and after-school center's goals and policies, placing great emphasis on collegial collaboration. Naturally, you have the ability to see opportunities and solutions and are not afraid to offer your own ideas. You communicate with colleagues, students, and parents in a way that builds good relationships.
