Now is the chance to be part of our school's development journey. Västerfärnebo School is a small school where we work closely together. You will have great opportunities to influence and contribute to the school's development. We welcome ideas, creativity, and new thinking. The school is located in a beautiful natural setting, 2 miles west of Sala, and we have approximately 100 students from preschool class to grade 6. Adjacent to the school, there is also an after-school center and a large schoolyard that invites to activities and movement.
Responsibilities
You will teach at the lower primary level (grades F-3). We expect you to be responsible for planning and conducting teaching based on current guidelines and legislation. You will collaborate in close dialogue with students, educators, student health services, school leadership, and guardians. You will actively participate in the school's development work, conferences, and team meetings. Together with your colleagues, you will work to ensure that all students thrive and develop based on their prerequisites. We work with both mixed-age and same-age groups. Mentorship duties will be included.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a teacher certification with eligibility to teach in grades F-3. It is advantageous if you have worked for a few years and feel confident in your professional role. We look forward to your application and the dialogue we can have during an interview.
For us, it is important that you have a positive attitude towards the role, good collaboration skills, and see opportunities in working at a rural school. You work with a clear focus and have good structure in your work. You always strive to develop both yourself and the learning environment you work in, together with your team. You have good knowledge of the Swedish National Curriculum (Lgr22) and work consciously to ensure that all students feel included, safe, and achieve set goals. We look for someone with a solution- and result-oriented approach, as well as good ability to express themselves in Swedish, both orally and in writing. Personal suitability is given great weight.
Employment Terms
Permanent position, 100%.
Probationary period may apply.
Start date: August 2026 or as agreed.
Individual salary setting applies.
Requirement of a police certificate upon job offer. This is according to the Act on Register Control in School, After-School, and Preschool Activities. The Swedish Police Authority's criminal record register, RPS 442.5 (14-01-14).
