Welcome to Norberg, the small municipality with the big heart. Our operations reflect a high level of commitment among employees, short decision-making paths, and a strong sense of community. If you want to be part of this, you are warmly welcome.
The adapted primary school in Norberg is growing, and this autumn we will have four classes in our operations. We are now looking for a class teacher for our lower primary group covering subject areas. We are looking for you who want to help develop our operations!
The role and responsibilities
You will, together with your colleagues, plan, implement, and evaluate pedagogical teaching. You will work closely and in a team with resource assistants working within the adapted primary school.
You will, together with your colleagues, work based on low-affective interaction and use various communication tools. You use digital tools as a natural part of your teaching.
Qualifications
You are a certified special needs teacher with a focus on intellectual disability, or alternatively a preschool teacher/teacher who can see yourself studying further to become a special needs teacher in the long term. You are structured and accustomed to documentation. You need to have knowledge of and be able to handle individuals with various neurodevelopmental disorders (NPF) and intellectual disabilities.
In your role as a special needs teacher, it is important that you are calm, secure, stable, and have the students and their goal achievement in focus. In the classroom, you have clear leadership where you can also convey your expectations of the students in a good way. It is important that you have good collaboration skills where you listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts in a constructive manner.
Furthermore, you are curious and driven in the development of the operations. Experience with PECS (TAKK), InPrint, and other alternative communication tools is meritorious.
