About the workplace

Kungsängsgymnasiet is a modern upper secondary school with approximately 480 students. We offer eight national programs as well as the Introductory Program. Our goal is for every student to succeed, and for three years we have received support in our work from the Swedish National Agency for Education's initiative "Collaboration for the Best School".

Students feel safe and enjoy being at the school, which is reflected in our safety surveys, and we have a high proportion of qualified teachers. At our school, it is important that both students and staff are seen and that students receive the support they need. Job Responsibilities

As a teacher with us, you will teach on the Social Sciences program, primarily in the subject of Social Studies and specialization courses. The position also includes mentorship. You will become part of an engaged team and collaborate closely with colleagues within the program and subject teams.

• Have experience and can teach social science subjects.
• Have good cooperation skills with students, colleagues, and other staff.
• Have clear leadership and a strong belief in students' ability to achieve good academic results.
• Are a collegial team player who is interested in school development and working in teams.
• Are flexible, creative, and use ICT in teaching.
• Want to develop your teaching profession and contribute ideas on how teaching and the school can be improved.
• Personal suitability is given great weight.

Qualifications

• Certification as an upper secondary school teacher in Social Studies.
• Experience of teaching at the upper secondary level.

Terms of Employment

Individual salary setting

Start date: August 10, 2026, or as agreed

Requirement of a police certificate upon offer of employment. This is in accordance with the Act on Register Checks in School, Leisure, and Preschool Activities. The Swedish Police Authority's criminal record register, RPS 442.5 (14-01-14).
