About the workplace

Kungsängsgymnasiet is a modern upper secondary school with approximately 480 students. We offer eight national programs as well as the Introduction Program. Our goal is for every student to succeed, and for three years we have received support in our work from the Swedish National Agency for Education's initiative "Collaboration for the Best School".

Students feel safe and enjoy being at the school, which is reflected in our safety surveys. We have a high proportion of qualified teachers. At our school, it is important that both students and staff are seen and that students receive the support they need. Job Responsibilities

As a teacher here, you will teach Swedish as a Second Language on our national programs and the individual program, as well as some instruction in Swedish. This means you will teach at both upper secondary and compulsory school levels. The position also includes mentorship. You will become part of an engaged team and collaborate closely with colleagues within the program and subject teams.

We are looking for someone who

• Has experience and can teach Swedish as a Second Language at the upper secondary level.
• Has good collaboration skills with students, colleagues, and other staff.
• Has clear leadership and a strong belief in students' ability to achieve good academic results.
• Is flexible, creative, and uses ICT in teaching.
• Wants to develop your teaching profession and contribute ideas on how teaching and the school can be improved.

Qualifications

• Licensure as an upper secondary school teacher in Swedish as a Second Language.
• Experience teaching at the upper secondary level.
• Experience teaching students on the individual program based on the compulsory school curriculum in Swedish and Swedish as a Second Language is meritorious.

Individual Salary

Start date: August 10, 2026, or as agreed.

A police record extract is required upon offer of employment. This is in accordance with the Act on Register Checks in School, Leisure, and Preschool Activities. The Swedish Police Authority's criminal record register, RPS 442.5 (14-01-14).
