We are now looking for a Strategic Communicator for a parental leave vacancy who wants to contribute to development, strengthen democratic participation, and build trust through communication.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of Communications Strategist, you will work both operationally and strategically. You will become part of a cheerful and cohesive team in the HR and Communications Department, where we together support the organization in everything from content production and advisory services to communication planning and crisis communication.

The position has a specific focus on the municipality's digital communication solutions, where you will be responsible for developing, managing, and supporting work in various communication systems and digital tools. You will also play an important role in the municipality's crisis communication work, both through planning, developing routines, and support during critical incidents.

The role also includes leading and driving communication efforts related to larger projects and operational development. We are therefore looking for you who enjoy combining technical understanding, strategic thinking, and communicative skill, and who can switch between long-term development work and operational efforts when the business needs it.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE:

• You have an academic education in media and communication or another education that we, as employers, assess as equivalent.
• You have experience in qualified communication work as well as strategic advisory services to managers or at the leadership level.
• You have good knowledge of Sitevision or equivalent CMS tools.
• You are a skilled writer with experience writing in plain language and adapting communication to different target groups and channels.
• You have experience or education in crisis communication or strategic crisis management.

WE VALUE THE FOLLOWING HIGHLY:

• Experience in driving communication work in a project format.
• Experience working within municipal or state operations that are politically governed.

You have the ability to see the big picture and understand how communication, digital infrastructure, and the organization's needs are connected. Your daily routine encompasses both high-level strategy and ground-level execution – you simply enjoy strategic planning just as much as operational implementation.

As a person, you are structured, solution-oriented, and a skilled relationship builder. You easily create trust, listen to the organization's needs, and collaborate smoothly with different types of people. You gladly take on the role of advisor and trainer, and feel confident speaking in front of both large and small groups. At the same time, you have strong internal drive; you are independent, prioritize the right things, and ensure projects are completed.

About the position:

• Scope: Full-time, parental leave vacancy until September 30, 2027.
• Start date: September 7, 2026, or as agreed.
• Salary: Individual salary setting.
