Description

As an employee in Gislaved Municipality, you are a co-creator at your workplace. You are given the opportunity and expected to contribute to the development of operations through your knowledge and experience. Respect for differences and the equal value of all people are fundamental to us.

Do you want to contribute to the development of management, quality, and follow-up in a municipality with high ambitions? We are now looking for a Business Controller for Corporate Governance to the Quality and Development unit within the Corporate Governance and IT department.

As a business controller, you work with developing, coordinating, and following up on the municipality's management, planning, and follow-up. The role encompasses both quality and business economic perspectives and constitutes a qualified support to managers, management groups, and political leadership.

You are responsible for coordinating the municipality's goal-setting and follow-up work, internal control, as well as the analysis of operational results, key performance indicators (KPIs), and economy. You contribute with decision support and analyses that strengthen the municipality's ability to manage, prioritize, and develop operations.

The role also includes responsibility for the development and maintenance of the municipality's system support for planning and follow-up, as well as the coordination of statistics, environmental scanning, and improvement work.

Tasks

As a Business Controller for Corporate Governance, you work across the municipality with the analysis, follow-up, and development of the municipality's management.

The tasks include, among other things:

  • Coordinate and develop the municipality's planning and follow-up processes.
  • Support managers and management groups in matters concerning management, quality, and business economics.
  • Coordinate the municipality's work with internal control and supervision.
  • Produce analyses, reports, decision support materials, and presentations for professional management and political leadership.
  • Develop and follow up on goals, indicators, and key performance indicators.
  • Coordinate statistics and conduct environmental scans.
  • Develop and maintain the municipality's system support for planning and follow-up.
  • Participate in investigations, development projects, and improvement work.
  • Contribute to the development of data-driven operational development and analysis.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

  • An academic degree in economics, political science, public administration, social sciences, or other education that the employer considers equivalent.
  • Experience in qualified analysis, controlling, or development work.
  • Good knowledge of management, follow-up, and operational development.
  • Experience in compiling and presenting decision support materials.
  • Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Experience working in municipal or other public sector operations.
  • Experience in quality management, internal control, or corporate governance.
  • Knowledge in business economics and financial follow-up.
  • Experience in statistical processing and analysis.
  • Experience with BI tools, such as Power BI.
  • Experience with Stratsys or similar system support for planning and follow-up.

You have a good analytical ability and can see connections between operations, quality, and economy. You work in a structured and independent manner while also having an easy time building trusting relationships. You are pedagogical, communicative, and have the ability to translate complex information into clear decision support.

Your role as an employee is deeply linked to your ability to collaborate and participate in the development of yourself and the operations. With us, this means you have good cooperation with your manager and colleagues, both at your own workplace and within the rest of the municipal group. You treat everyone with a high level of service, kindness, and quality through a customer- and service focus. You take responsibility for involving yourself in operational issues and are solution-oriented.

We place great importance on personal suitability and that your view of employment aligns with ours.

Do you want to be part of our success? Please submit your application!

In Gislaved Municipality, full-time work is a right, and therefore vacant positions* are advertised as full-time. If the operations can accommodate part-time work, this is of course an option. *Positions shorter than 3 months and certain roles may be exempted.
