We are now seeking two accountants for the Education Administration, focusing on primary school and adapted primary school – one permanent position and one fixed-term contract.

About the positions

We are recruiting two accountants with largely the same profile and responsibilities:

• Permanent position: An employee has been assigned other tasks within the finance department, so this position is being filled permanently. We are looking for an experienced accountant with solid experience in qualified financial work, such as budgeting, analysis, follow-up, and preparation of decision-making materials.
• Fixed-term contract (until 2027-08-31): An employee is on parental leave, and we are seeking a substitute. This position is also suitable for a candidate who is somewhat more junior but has the right potential and basic experience in financial work.

A positive prerequisite for the new hire is that the employee moving on to new tasks within the department remains with us and actively contributes to induction and knowledge transfer. The competence and history remain within the finance department, creating good conditions for a secure and smooth start.

Your new job

The finance department of the Education Administration works together to provide principals in our various school forms with professional, proactive, and consultative support in the financial area. The tasks have a clear controller orientation, where you work closely with operations through follow-up, analysis, reporting, and preparation of decision-making materials.

You will be responsible for budgeting, financial follow-ups, forecasts, and reports for primary school and adapted primary school in close collaboration with principals and other management. This involves analyzing resource usage, identifying deviations, suggesting measures, and contributing to long-term financial management. You compile reports and communicate financial conditions in a pedagogical and accessible manner. The role also includes participating in development projects and contributing to the development of our processes within the Education Administration.

The finance department of the Education Administration consists of 11 employees and is part of the shared support staff at the Education Administration. Our workplace is centrally located in modern premises in the City Hall in Huskvarna.

Your competence

To succeed in the role, you need strong analytical skills, a structured approach to work, and the ability to see the connections between finance and operations. Personal suitability is crucial. We particularly value that you share our values and have a strong drive to contribute to the development of primary school and adapted primary school. Quality awareness, engagement, and the ability to create a positive work climate are important traits.

You have a university degree in economics or another education and experience that we assess as equivalent. We would like you to have experience with controller-related tasks, such as budgeting, operational follow-up, analysis, and calculations. Previous experience from municipal or public sector operations is meritorious.

For the fixed-term position, we also welcome applicants who are somewhat more junior. You should have a university degree in economics or another education and experience that we assess as equivalent, along with basic experience in financial work and the right willingness to develop in the role.

You have good knowledge of Excel and the Office suite. If you also have experience with the financial system Visma and the BI tool Qlik Sense, it is an advantage. We expect you to master the Swedish language in both speech and writing. Since travel for work may occur, we consider it an advantage if you have a B driving license.

We are filling two positions in the same recruitment: one permanent position and one fixed-term contract until 2027-08-31. The start dates for both positions are by agreement.
