Your new job

At Upptech, we offer learning experiences that spark curiosity and engagement through experiments, participation, drama, and interactivity. As an educator here, you will become part of a dedicated team working with teaching in natural sciences, mathematics, and technology for children, students, and other target groups of various ages. The role involves independently and collaboratively with colleagues developing, planning, and implementing activities for children and students from preschool to upper secondary school. The work includes school programs, teacher training, development projects, and public activities aimed at inspiring more people to discover and deepen their interest in our subject areas. Together with your colleagues, you will contribute to creating inspiring learning environments and meaningful encounters that strengthen interest in learning and our subject areas.

The position entails overall responsibility for our exhibition hall. This includes, among other things, planning and scheduling hourly staff, welcoming school classes and general public visitors, and driving development work to strengthen and further develop the content and operations of the exhibition hall. You will also plan and implement holiday activities and work closely with both colleagues and visitors in a role where you contribute to inspiring, engaging, and sparking curiosity in people of all ages. The position may also involve working on our Eco Bus, either as a driver and/or an educator.

Your qualifications

We are looking for you who have broad subject knowledge in natural sciences, mathematics, technology, and sustainable development, as well as good knowledge of outdoor pedagogy. You should also have experience working in both cross-curricular and language-developing contexts. We see that you are accustomed to working independently and taking significant personal responsibility, are flexible, creative, and outgoing.

We have a broad operation that requires good teamwork skills and a holistic view. A genuine interest in what we teach and a creative developmental mindset are important. You believe, just as we do, that interactive methods and hands-on activities are important tools for learning.

Good to know

The work will normally be scheduled during regular office hours, but will also include some evenings per week and a couple of weekends during the school year.
