What does a Third Line Tech do at Norteam?

This is a new role at Norteam – a fantastic opportunity to step in and shape both the role and the organization as a whole. There is a clear framework and a hypothesis regarding how the role should be defined, but it will largely be up to you to influence and develop the role's focus and interface with other colleagues and departments.

Your primary focus is the technical endpoint in our support organization. You are the one who takes over when cases and various technical issues are at their most complex, and you are the one who holds the holistic perspective, able to connect separate incidents with each other and work towards solutions for multiple problems simultaneously. You are a key knowledge resource for the entire support team and actively contribute to raising the quality of our deliveries.

You need to be a person with both broad and deep technical skills, combined with a high degree of personal maturity and the ability to independently take responsibility and drive issues from start to finish.

With us, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Solve advanced technical problems within Microsoft sysadmin, networking, servers, and applications
  • Perform root cause analyses and implement long-term solutions
  • Further develop ITIL methodology in our support organization with a focus on Problem & Change Management
  • Work with public cloud solutions within Microsoft, such as Azure and M365
  • Participate in and lead technical projects regarding system upgrades, migrations, and technical development
  • Document solutions and contribute to our internal knowledge base
  • Act as a mentor and technical support for First and Second Line
  • Work with automation and scripting (e.g., PowerShell)
  • Ensure that our customers' IT environments are stable, secure, and scalable

Who are we looking for? You are an experienced IT technician with several years of experience in support, operations, and complex troubleshooting – preferably in roles such as Second or Third Line, or within IT Operations. You have deep and broad technical competence, but also a strong sense of service and communication.

We are looking for someone who has technical breadth as their specialty. You are also a flexible and non-hierarchical person who enjoys working at different levels and loves taking on new technical challenges.

Your technical competence allows you to handle complex challenges, and your experience gives you the confidence to make decisions and stand by them.

You likely have:

  • Good knowledge of Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure/Intune
  • Experience with public cloud solutions and/or virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Knowledge of PowerShell or other scripting
  • Experience working with security, backup, and access management
  • Experience with network troubleshooting, firewalls, VPN, and WiFi
  • Very good Swedish and English skills, both spoken and written

A big plus if you also have:

  • Understanding of and experience with ITIL and creating relevant documentation
  • Certifications from Microsoft or similar
  • Experience with Linux, SQL, VDI solutions

  • Location is Stockholm, Bromma
  • Work is mostly from the office, with the possibility of a hybrid solution
  • Start as soon as possible
