Description

As an employee of Gislaved Municipality, you will become an important part of your workplace. The Housing and Support Unit (BOOST) is led by a unit manager and two group leaders. The unit includes a supported housing for youth aged 16-21, a residential home (HVB) for youth aged 13-20, a housing facility for adults with substance abuse issues, and a housing facility for adults with psychiatric disabilities.

We are now looking for a dedicated therapist to join our team at Kastanjegården HVB, as one of our therapists will be leaving their position after the summer!

Kastanjegården HVB is a residential home for young people and young adults aged 13-20, located in Reftele. Kastanjegården also has support apartments for young people between 16-20 years old.

The young people living at Kastanjegården have decisions according to the Social Services Act (SoL) or the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU). A central part of your work will be to motivate and support the young people in developing their abilities and strengths, as well as helping them create a mindset for change based on their individual implementation plans. Your approach should be characterized by a low-affective attitude, which creates trust and security for the young people. Building strong and trusting relationships is crucial in your work.

Responsibilities

As a therapist at Kastanjegården HVB, you have a central role in supporting young people and young adults aged 13-20. Your work mainly consists of conducting targeted therapeutic work based on individual implementation plans, where you adapt interventions to each young person's specific needs and conditions. This means you actively contribute to their personal development and independence, while building trusting relationships that create a safe environment for them.

The role also includes a key worker responsibility, where you are responsible for planning and coordinating care for specific young people. This includes maintaining regular contact with internal and external partners, such as schools, social services, and other healthcare providers. You lead both individual and group therapy sessions, using therapeutic methods to support the young people's development and help them manage their challenges.

An important part of your work is documenting in the operational system Combine, which means you continuously update implementation plans, write journal notes, and ensure that all documentation is correct and up-to-date. You also contribute to creating and adapting the living environment so that it is safe, structured, and adapted to the young people's specific needs. Through your work, you make a significant difference in the young people's lives and help them find new paths forward.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are educated as a behavioral scientist, treatment pedagogue, social pedagogue, or have other education that the employer deems equivalent. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability, and we are looking for a person who is secure, sensitive, humble, stress-resistant, and has a professional approach. Experience from working with the target group is meritorious. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both in speech and writing, as well as computer skills and experience with documentation.

We would like you to have knowledge of motivational interviewing and low-affective approach. Your work style should be characterized by teamwork and a willingness to participate in the development of the operations. You are expected to have good cooperation with managers and colleagues, both at your workplace and within the municipal corporation. Taking responsibility, solution-orientation, and the ability to create meaningful relationships with the young people are central to this role.
