Do you have experience in change management, collaboration, and working with children and young people in vulnerable life situations? Then you could be one of the two family therapists we are looking for in our new Team HVB Outpatient Care.

Team HVB Outpatient Care is a new team being established within the Family and Youth Team unit. The team will work with children and young people who are pending placement or currently placed in residential care for children and youth (HVB), Swedish Secure Care (SiS), or supported housing. The mission is to strengthen the care chain before, during, and after placement through family treatment interventions, placement support, network work, and coordination.

Your new job

As a family therapist in Team HVB Outpatient Care, you work with children and young people, guardians, biological parents, and other significant adults in the child’s or youth’s life. The work takes place throughout the entire placement process, from pre-placement to aftercare.

You provide family treatment interventions with a focus on long-term and stable parenting. The role also includes crisis support in connection with placement, network work to strengthen prosocial contexts, and coordination with other relevant actors such as HVB, SiS, schools, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (BUP), and economic assistance.

You support case workers in the planning of placement cases, but do not take over the authority's responsibility for decisions, assessments, or care follow-up. For the municipality's internal HVB and supported housing facilities, the role involves close collaboration.

Your qualifications

We are looking for you who have a university or college education of at least 180 higher education credits, for example, as a social worker, higher education social pedagogue, behavioral scientist, or another education that the employer deems equivalent.

You have experience in treatment work with children, young people, and families. It is an advantage if you have experience in authority practice and/or treatment in placement cases, network work, crisis support, or social child and youth care. As a person, you are secure, stable, and structured. You have good collaboration skills, can build trust in difficult situations, and thrive in working with complex cases involving many actors. You are goal- and result-oriented, empathetic, and able to document your work in a professional manner.

You must have good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good computer skills.

A Class B driver’s license is required for the position, as travel is involved. You must be able to drive both manual and automatic vehicles.

Team HVB Outpatient Care is part of the Social Services Administration's outpatient care for children and young people. The operations work with needs-based interventions and are based on a systemic theoretical approach where the individual, family, and network are important parts of the change process. The workplace is centrally located in Jönköping on Kapellgatan.

Good to know

The recruitment covers two permanent, full-time positions, with start dates as agreed. The work is primarily during daytime hours, but some work outside office hours may occur based on the needs of the families and the assignment. Travel within the job is expected.

All your previous employment must be verifiable with certificates stating the position and the extent of your work. Even if you already work for us, you need to provide degree certificates and employment certificates for positions held outside the municipality.
