Your new job

You will work closely with citizens in their daily lives to support and promote independent living. The tasks include support in social and practical contexts such as personal care, lifting, medication management, household chores, and activities – always with the citizen's participation in focus and a pedagogical approach. You will also work actively with social documentation, implementation plans, and contact person roles, and may have various ombudsman roles. Other tasks may occur and vary over time.

Based on the "Individual Needs in Focus" (IBIC) working method, we create a holistic picture of the individual and plan interventions that make a difference. Through mapping, planning, implementation, and follow-up, we ensure that everyone receives support based on their needs and wishes. Collaboration takes place with relatives, legal representatives, colleagues, managers, and other professions such as healthcare and authorities. Together, you identify and create conditions for individual development and motivation.

Your qualifications

• We prefer that you are trained as a support assistant, which requires a completed upper secondary program in children and youth with a focus on social/pedagogical work or care and assistance with program specialization in the disability/psychiatry area. Alternatively, other education deemed equivalent by the employer, but this is not a requirement.
• You have experience working in care and assistance for at least six months, preferably in the disability area or elderly care.
• Meritorious with experience working with sign language and AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication).
• You have good physical mobility as the work is performed in a home environment and can be physically demanding; you need to be able to adapt your working method to different conditions.
• Good knowledge of Swedish in speech, writing, and reading comprehension is required for handling documentation, information gathering, and communication, as well as good computer skills.

Welcome to us

Group Housing Rosenborgsgatan 23 is an LSS (Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) residence for people with intellectual and physical disabilities located in central Huskvarna. Five adult citizens live here, both men and women of different ages and needs. The staff group consists of 10 employees, two of whom work only night shifts (awake nights). At Rosenborgsgatan 23, we always put the individual in focus and work to ensure that every individual feels participation and security in their everyday life. The goal is to create a meaningful and developmental environment for everyone regardless of conditions.

Good to know

The recruitment is for a permanent position where working hours are scheduled for day/evening, both weekdays and weekends. Jönköping Municipality always offers 100% employment and works with joint planning, which takes place through resource shifts and collaboration with nearby operations.

This position is job-evaluated. Support Assistant is found in base group D and Support Aide is found in base group B.
