Your new job

Your new job involves being a support for the participants, instructing and guiding them in the activities they perform. We arrange activities that are individually adapted to ability, needs, and interests. The activities can take place both indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions. Since both participants and the operation have varying prerequisites, it is necessary for you to be adaptable in carrying out your assignment. You will work with different participants, which means that routines, working methods, and structures may vary. A consistent approach in your work is a low-affective attitude and clarifying pedagogy.

Your qualifications

For the title of Support Assistant, a completed and approved program within care and nursing with specialization in the disability area/psychiatry is required, or the Child and Youth program with a focus on social work or pedagogical work. Alternatively, other education deemed equivalent by the employer.

The requirement for the position is that you, as an applicant, have at least 1 year of experience working in disability care, autism, and problem-causing or challenging behaviors. Additional qualifications include education in autism, clarifying communication, and low-affective handling. You must master Swedish in speaking, writing, and reading comprehension, as there is contact with participants, relatives, guardians, and other professions, as well as documentation and reading of information relevant to the work. A B-category driver's license for manual transmission is a requirement for the position.

As a person, you are secure and stable, and you have the ability to adapt to situations that arise in a professional manner. You are flexible and adaptable as you will work together with different participants. We would like you to be creative and find new solutions in daily work, as well as be self-reliant in your work by taking responsibility, structuring, and prioritizing your tasks. You have the ability to work both independently and in a group. You respect the equal value of all people and are responsive and open to others' opinions.

Welcome to us

Västerbrunn's Day Activity Centre is divided into two units, one located at Skeppsbron and the other in Huskvarna. We coordinate staffing, and the position may involve work at several units within the day activity area, but your base unit will be Västerbrunn's Day Activity Centre. The practical work differs between units, but much is common as we have a shared value base for how the work should be carried out.

Good to know

The recruitment is for a permanent position. The position is available immediately. Working hours are during the day, Monday to Friday, 07:00-17:00. The recruitment process involves continuous selection and interviews.
