About the role

We are looking for you who want to make a real difference! We work in an area where the school's compensatory mission is clear, which places high demands on us but also makes our work incredibly meaningful. We have recently reorganized our management structure to free up time for student-centered support. Now we are looking for you who want to contribute to developing our student health team and be a driving force in our social and security-building work for our fantastic students. We have advertised this position before but for various reasons haven't found the right person. It is important to us that we are each other's first choice, and we hope that it is you who wants to make a difference together with us.

In this role, you work closely with the school leadership and the Student Health Team (SHT) with a strong focus on our students, their networks, and student health to identify needs early and coordinate efforts to promote attendance, security, study environment, and good academic results. You do not have personnel or budget responsibility, but act as the coordinator for the schools in matters concerning attendance, security, and collaboration with guardians and external actors. All school professionals are your partners in this work, and together we do our utmost for every student. The school already has well-established routines and ongoing work in all the areas where you are expected to work.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Leading challenging conversations: Leading meetings with students and guardians where you, with clarity and empathy, uphold the school's responsibility and work together with students and guardians towards common paths forward.
  • Coordinating complex student cases: Being the school's secure link in collaboration with external actors such as Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP), habilitation services, social services, and the police.
  • Student-centered work: Promoting and preventive work at individual and group levels related to core values and relationships.
  • Processing and investigating: Responsible for the school's work regarding suspected bullying in accordance with the Education Act.
  • Leading attendance work: Mapping, analyzing, and implementing measures for students with problematic school absenteeism.

We are looking for someone who is a stable, secure, and relationship-building force. You focus on collaboration and preventive work, but you do not shy away from difficult conversations; instead, you see them as an opportunity to create understanding and turn negative patterns around. You have the ability to meet critical feedback with calmness and, with the help of your grounding in laws and policy documents, are confident in upholding the rights and responsibilities of both the school, the student, and the home. You have good ability to collaborate with others but are also confident in working independently. In your work, you are both solution-focused, structured, and a driver in processes.

Qualifications:

  • Academic degree as a social worker, social pedagogue, behavioral scientist, special educator, or other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent.
  • Good knowledge of and understanding of both the Education Act and the Social Services Act.
  • Well-documented experience in leading challenging conversations with guardians and external actors.
  • Previous work experience within the school system and/or social services.

Meritorious education/experience:

  • Training in MI (Motivational Interviewing), RePulse, or similar.
  • Work in socioeconomically disadvantaged areas.
  • Analysis of statistics and follow-up of measures.
  • Attendance-promoting work.
  • Processing and investigation of cases regarding suspected bullying.

About the employment

  • The position involves working at both Annelund and Olympia schools.
  • Start date: 2026-08-05 or as agreed.

The Principal Area Annelund/Olympia consists of two F-6 schools with a total of just over 500 students. The schools are located close to each other and have a joint organization where employees can work at both units.
