About the role

Ängen LSS Service Housing is looking for an engaged support educator who, together with users and colleagues, wants to work to develop the operations. Ängen is a service housing facility with 10 residential apartments located in central Båstad.

Responsibilities

As a support educator at Ängen, you work to drive the pedagogical work forward. You use your competence to develop pedagogical solutions together with users and colleagues. You also use your competence to support your colleagues in methods and planning of daily work. You work together with your colleagues who are support assistants in the daily work with users, but some time is specifically allocated to support educator work.

As a support educator at Ängen, you collaborate with other support educators in our LSS operations and method supporters, as well as other external actors.

Working hours are scheduled for both day and evening, as well as every other weekend.

Qualifications and Merits

You have a vocational education as a support educator, or other vocational/higher education that the employer considers equivalent and relevant for the position.

The position requires previous experience of working within LSS (Social Services Act for support and service to persons with certain functional impairments) and experience of working with intellectual disabilities and autism, as well as care work. It is an advantage if you have previously worked in a service housing facility.

As a support educator at Ängen, you need to work with low-affective approaches, have patience, and have a strong commitment to our target group. You need to be able to collaborate and build trust with both users and your colleagues, as well as set clear professional boundaries. Additional education in alternative and augmentative communication, low-affective handling, and methods such as conversation mats are meritorious.

A Category B driver's license is a requirement.
