Coordinator for Associations, Culture and Leisure

You will work as a coordinator for associations, culture, and leisure in Vellinge Municipality. The assignment is based on a preventive perspective according to the new Social Services Act (SoL), with a focus on reaching young people early and in their own environments. You will become a key link in the municipality's combined preventive work for young people.

The role involves working in the space between culture and leisure activities such as libraries, cultural schools, youth clubs, and the association sector. Close collaboration occurs with staff from the preventive work of social services and other municipal operations. The position is a project appointment ending on 2027-12-31.

Job Responsibilities

Culture and Leisure, together with social services, develops preventive work focusing on young people and early interventions. The position is a central part of this work and entails a municipality-wide assignment.

In the role, you will work with:

• Preventive and outreach work throughout the municipality targeting the age group 13–25 years.
• Presence at various arenas where young people are located, such as youth clubs, cultural schools, association life, and in the municipality's collaboration forums.
• Being visible among young people and building trusting relationships in their everyday environments.
• Coordinating different operations and organizational boundaries to strengthen preventive work.
• Identifying needs, risk factors, and early signals among young people and contributing to coordinated interventions.

Collaboration with the corresponding outreach function within social services to ensure holistic and continuous support for young people. The position is located within Culture and Leisure and involves close cooperation with other operations within the municipality. Evening and weekend work may occur.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a good ability to build relationships and develop constructive and long-term collaborations with young people and the association sector. In your assignment, you see young people as important actors in the development of the operations, and you are good at motivating and engaging both young people and colleagues.

You have:

• Experience working with young people, preferably in outreach or preventive contexts.
• Good understanding of young people's living conditions and risk and protective factors.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across operational boundaries.
• Good knowledge of culture and leisure activities.
• Experience working with the association sector.
• Education relevant to the position.
• A driver's license (Category B) is desirable.

Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer.
