About the role

Our client is an international technology company with extensive experience in developing and manufacturing advanced camera solutions for industry, security, construction, healthcare, and emergency services. The company is a global leader in its field and develops innovative products used for everything from energy efficiency and industrial condition monitoring to advanced surveillance and rescue operations in challenging environments.

We are now looking for a Junior Mechatronics Developer who wants to help develop the next generation of handheld thermal cameras. You will become part of a cross-functional development organization where mechanics, electronics, software, optics, and systems engineering collaborate to create technologically advanced products. This is a consulting assignment with an initial duration of 6 months, with the possibility of extension.

In this role, you will:

• Participate in the development and optimization of mechatronic systems for advanced camera platforms
• Work with control and regulation technology as well as algorithm development
• Develop and test software related to motion-controlled systems
• Build, evaluate, and verify prototypes
• Collaborate with developers within mechanics, electronics, optics, and software
• Coordinate and drive smaller activities and sub-projects within the mechatronics field
• Participate in technical analysis, troubleshooting, and improvement work

We are looking for someone who

• Has a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechatronics or another relevant technical field
• Has 2–3 years of relevant work experience in developing software related to movable or mechatronic systems
• Has basic experience in control technology and algorithm development
• Has knowledge in some of the following areas: Python, Matlab, Simulink, LabVIEW, C/C++, or optimization of mechatronic systems
• Speaks and writes Swedish and English fluently

Meritorious

• Basic knowledge in electronics and/or mechanics.
