Student Assistant at Värsås School – Grades F-6

In this role, you will become part of the Child and Education Sector. At our organization, the development of children and young people is at the forefront. RESPONSIBILITIES

We are currently seeking a student assistant for our school, a F-6 school with 150 students. Värsås School is a small rural school where student learning is the focus, and teachers are keen on seeing every student. All staff value every student's right to education, and our key words are knowledge, security, and well-being. The school is currently undergoing an exciting development process where the physical and pedagogical learning environment, as well as the quality of teaching, are in focus.

As a student assistant, you are a support in the classroom for students who need extra adult support. This work continues in the after-school care activities after the school day ends.

In collaboration with colleagues, you contribute to creating accessible learning environments based on relational and low-affective leadership. You take responsibility for and participate in relevant competence development to develop and grow in your profession.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a confident adult with good leadership skills who can offer both support and encouragement as well as set boundaries. You work with high expectations and see good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians as a natural foundation for your work. A childcare education or equivalent is advantageous.

Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 3-6 months.

To begin working in preschool, school, after-school care, and other pedagogical activities, you are required to show an extract from the criminal record. The extract is valid for one year and can be ordered from the National Police Board (www.polisen.se (https://www.polisen.se)).

Anyone who has not shown an extract from the criminal record may not be employed, engaged, or received in the activity according to current legal requirements.
