We at Friday are now recruiting a Senior Software Engineer for an expanding company in the life science sector in Uppsala. Here you will have the opportunity to work at the forefront of technology, close to both hardware and product in a company on an exciting growth journey.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

In this role, you will become a key person in a small, cross-functional team where you work closely with both product, technology, and operations. You will not only develop software; you will help shape solutions used in advanced instruments within life science and production.

You will have significant influence over both technical choices and working methods, and will have the opportunity to take a leading role, for example as a mentor or eventually as a system architect.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop, test, and deploy software for instruments and production systems
• Work closely with hardware, including integration with control systems and PLCs
• Participate in developing the team's working methods and agile processes
• Share knowledge and support colleagues with technical questions
• Collaborate with multiple functions to ensure high quality and customer value

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO:

• Hold a Master of Science degree in a relevant field
• Have several years of experience in system development, preferably 5+ years
• Have strong competence in C#, .NET, and WPF
• Have experience working closely with hardware (e.g., instruments, control systems, or similar)
• Have a good understanding of databases and communication protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, COM)
• Speak and write fluent English

It is not necessary, but advantageous if you have:

• Experience from life science or a similar regulatory environment
• Knowledge of laboratory equipment or software related to this
• Experience with tools such as Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, and Git

This is a direct recruitment, which means that Friday handles and is responsible for the recruitment process, but you will be employed directly by our client.
