Drottning Blanka's Gymnasium in Uppsala was established in 2009 and offers vocational and university-preparatory education; the Social Science program, the Economics program, the Healthcare and Care program, the Hairdressing program, and the Arts program. The school has approximately 420 students and 39 employees for the upcoming academic year. We are now looking for a French teacher for the autumn term 2026.

Your role

We are now looking for a combined position where teaching takes place in French and Social Science, as well as supervising upper secondary theses. The position as a French teacher is a permanent position, while the part of the position in Social Science is initially a temporary position that may convert to a permanent role. At the school and our neighboring schools, we have an established collaboration regarding modern languages, where you will have several colleagues in modern languages to collaborate with.

Your profile

Primarily, we are looking for you who are a certified teacher in French. You have the ability to adapt your teaching to the students' linguistic level and make language teaching interesting and relevant for the students; you collaborate closely with colleagues with the student's best interest at the center. As a teacher, you are receptive and want to guide students into the future, but are also structured and demanding within given frameworks.

The position is a permanent employment in French with an initial probationary period starting in August 2026. During the academic year 2026-2027, the position is full-time.
