We are currently looking for a special needs teacher (speciallärare) for Frösåkersskolan in central Östhammar. At Frösåkersskolan, we work purposefully to ensure that every student receives the support they need to succeed in school. We are now looking for an engaged and knowledgeable special needs teacher who wants to be part of our school's team.

Job Responsibilities

In the role of a special needs teacher, you will plan, implement, and follow up on teaching based on the students' individual needs. The work is carried out in close collaboration with homeroom teachers, special educators, the student health team, and guardians.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a special needs teacher degree with a focus on mathematics. You have previous experience working with students in need of special support.

It is meritorious if you have also worked with a focus on language, reading, and writing development, or are qualified to teach Swedish, Natural Sciences (NO), Social Sciences (SO), and English. Knowledge of ADHD/Autism Spectrum Disorder (NPF) is also seen as an advantage.

As a person, you adapt easily to new conditions and requirements, which is important as the focus on where interventions need to be directed can change quickly. You are relationship-building and collaboration-oriented, which we value in contacts with students, guardians, and other colleagues. In addition, you have good structure in your work and feel a responsibility to deliver the best possible teaching so that the student can achieve set goals.
