Description

Bodaskolan is a school for grades F-6 (preschool class to grade 6) with an associated after-school center, located in central Skutskär.

Here, teachers and pedagogical staff with broad competence and great dedication work with the approximately 115 students attending the school. Both staff and students focus on safety, well-being, and study environment, where structure and good learning environments are the foundation in the classrooms, as we see this as a prerequisite for development and learning. The school also works with language-developing approaches in all subjects and reading and writing development to give all students good literacy skills and linguistic abilities.

As a Special Needs Teacher in Swedish, you work according to the needs of the group and the individual, in close collaboration with class teachers, other Special Needs Teachers in Swedish, and special educators. Together with your colleagues, you are responsible for conducting pedagogical assessments and drawing up and evaluating action plans. You also support teachers in working with extra adaptations and special support. You participate and take an active role in the work team and develop the operations together with the school's other staff. You believe in collective learning and working together to share experiences and learn from each other.

At Bodaskolan, you get the chance to be part of an engaged work group where you can grow and make a difference. Our work environment at Bodaskolan is characterized by openness, collaboration, structure, and community. You will work in a stimulating and dynamic environment where we value your insights and experience.

Responsibilities

The work involves teaching at the whole-class, group, and individual levels. Your work is based on the student's and group's needs. An important part of the job is implementing action plans, for example, by teaching, mapping, and talking with students. You have close contact and collaboration with students and guardians, and you follow up and evaluate. You participate continuously in the school's special pedagogical forum, which includes special educators, special needs teachers, studio teachers, and the principal. You also participate in the systematic quality work regarding the analysis of results from assessment tools, national tests, and grades. The municipality has a network consisting of special educators and special needs teachers, where you also participate.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with a background as a Special Needs Teacher specializing in Swedish. It is an advantage if you have a few years of experience in the teaching profession and special needs teaching roles. For this role, we seek someone with good collaboration skills, working well with colleagues to achieve our goals at the school. We also expect you to foster a respectful work climate and build good relationships with both colleagues and children/guardians. You achieve this by being open and accommodating, as well as listening to your surroundings to understand their needs. It is important to us that you are clear, independent, and confident in your role as a Special Needs Teacher. Seeing every student develop is one of your driving forces. At our municipality, the operations are continuously developed, so we would like you to contribute new ideas and perspectives to work-related issues and challenge methods, approaches, and mindsets.
