Do you want to work in a free and varied role where advanced technology, customer contact, and business acumen go hand in hand? At Gammadata, we are now looking for two service technicians who want to become part of a competent, non-hierarchical team with a high technical level and strong camaraderie.

About Us

Gammadata is an established agency company with its headquarters in Uppsala. We have approximately 30 employees and work with the sales and service of advanced measurement equipment within material analysis and nuclear technology. Our customers are primarily located in the Nordic region, and we collaborate with leading suppliers in Europe, the USA, and Canada.

We are proud of our strong brand within the nuclear market and our growing position in material characterization. We have a flat organization, short decision-making paths, and a culture where ideas are allowed to grow from the bottom up.

About the Role

As a service technician at Gammadata, you work in an independent and business-oriented role where you:

  • Perform installations, service, and maintenance of advanced technical equipment
  • Train and support customers in the use of instruments
  • Plan your own workday, book travel, and manage your own service cases
  • Contribute to business development, for example through input regarding service agreements and customer needs
  • Represent Gammadata at customer sites – you are an important ambassador for our brand

A large part of the instrument fleet consists of permanently installed systems, and the work takes place approximately 90% at customer sites, involving travel within the Nordic region.

You can work in two alternative areas:

Material Analysis (MC)
Work with advanced laboratory equipment such as FTIR, Raman, and electron microscopes (SEM) – often at research and pharmaceutical companies.

Nuclear Technology (NUK)
Service and control of measurement equipment within the nuclear industry, for example, radiation measurement at personnel and cargo checkpoints at nuclear facilities.

Please indicate in your application which of the roles you are interested in!

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is technically curious, social, and responsible. You thrive in a role with freedom under responsibility and are motivated by solving problems – both technical and customer-related. In this role, you are the face of Gammadata and must therefore have an interest in business acumen and everything that entails.

We would like you to have:

  • A broad technical interest and practical skills, as well as experience in a similar position
  • The ability to work independently and systematically
  • Good communication skills and a professional attitude
  • Good IT skills and experience working in various systems
  • Very good Swedish and good English in speech and writing
  • A valid B-class driver's license

Meritorious:

  • Post-secondary education in technology, chemistry, or biochemistry
  • Experience from a laboratory environment, life science, or nuclear operations

Personality and potential weigh heavily – You will receive thorough introduction and training.

What We Offer

We offer a workplace where you can grow, both technically and commercially – and where your contribution truly makes a difference. You get great freedom and responsibility and plan your own daily routine. You will work with advanced equipment and knowledgeable customers in a family-owned company with a non-hierarchical culture and low staff turnover. Here you have good development opportunities through international training, as well as good employment conditions in other respects.

In this recruitment, Gammadata collaborates with Adecco. Adecco uses tests as part of the process to ensure the most quality-assured and fair assessment possible. For the position within nuclear technology, you must be a Swedish citizen and pass background checks, drug tests, and security clearance.

As holiday periods approach, we will have an extended application deadline until August 11.
