Are you passionate about making a difference for students with special needs? Ikasus Friskola is now looking for engaged and solution-focused teachers for our adapted primary and upper secondary school in Vallentuna.

As a teacher with us, you work in a small, safe, and creative school environment where every student's strengths and needs are in focus. You teach in small groups with individualized instruction, often thematic and cross-curricular.

We work with clear pedagogy and alternative learning tools to create a structured and meaningful school day for students with autism and intellectual disabilities.

You collaborate closely with student assistants and other staff to promote learning, communication, and independence for each student.

• Plan and conduct teaching in adapted primary and upper secondary school.
• Work with clear pedagogy and alternative learning tools.
• Teach subjects and/or subject areas based on the students' needs.
• Collaborate with student assistants and school management.
• Contribute to a safe, predictable, and stimulating learning environment.
• Participate in the school's development work and pedagogical forums.

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher.

You have a warm and professional approach, work in a structured manner, and are solution-focused. You believe in every student's potential, have good collaboration skills, and a genuine commitment to students with special needs.

• A special teacher degree with a focus on intellectual disabilities (IF).
• A special education degree.
• Experience with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication).
• Experience working in adapted school forms and/or resource schools.
• Other experience working with the target group that is considered relevant.
