Vittra Östertälje is looking for dedicated and responsible substitute teachers

Vittra Östertälje is located on the outskirts of Östertälje in Södertälje Municipality. The school is situated next to forest and nature areas, and we have access to outdoor gyms, artificial turf fields, lighted running tracks, sports halls, and the Sörmland Trail directly adjacent to the school.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for 1–3 substitute teachers (house substitutes) for the upcoming school year. The substitutes will have fixed-term employment during the school year. The positions are full-time (100%), and as a substitute, you will work with us every day. Working hours are approximately 08:00–16:30. Working hours may change based on needs. The role involves substituting wherever needed in our operations, both in the school and in the after-school center.

We are looking for someone who is curious, open, and positive, and who works well in collaboration with both students and colleagues. You have an easy time collaborating and building good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. We highly value qualities such as teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. It is natural for you to be a clear leader with a big heart, and we will place great emphasis on your personal suitability.

As a substitute teacher, you will teach all subjects from preschool class up to grade 9 when the regular teacher is not present. Therefore, it is important that you can follow instructions carefully, are punctual, and respond to emails. The role also requires proficiency in the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as well as strong mathematical skills. Since good attendance is crucial for the position, we consider it advantageous if you have a reference that can verify your good attendance from a previous workplace.

It is also advantageous if you have a teaching degree or are currently studying to become a teacher. If you also have previous experience substituting and teaching, as well as experience leading group activities, we see this as a major plus. This could include experience from after-school activities, camp schools, summer camps, sports clubs, scouting, or other community organizations.
