This is a tailor-made assistant role for you who want to combine your pedagogical talent with a deep commitment to one child's full development and learning, all while having a lot of fun!

The work involves being mentally active and tackling pedagogical challenges! You are given the freedom to be creative in the truest sense of the word, to work and think independently, analyze, and create the best possible conditions for learning & development for a charming, curious 8-year-old with great potential for growth, within a school setting! You analyze, test ideas, create your own materials, teach, evaluate, and adjust until you find what works for this individual. Your mission as a personal assistant to a school-aged child is to develop reading, writing, mathematics, communication, problem-solving, independent thinking, and all sorts of intellectual activities at the right level. The child is often misunderstood due to uneven skills and difficulties in expressing them. The child's actual abilities are often greater than what the surroundings manage to notice. Therefore, one of your most important tasks is to ensure these abilities become visible. You interpret for both sides.

A large part of the role also involves keeping the child safe in every way that implies for this specific individual. You are responsible for the child's needs throughout the entire school day. You are also responsible for constant supervision. You stay one step ahead, identify risks, and analyze situations quickly. At the same time, you help the child dare to try things themselves and develop increasing independence without compromising safety. The difference between a school assistant and this role is that you work for and with the child – not for the school. Therefore, the assignment is built on deep personal knowledge. Previous experience with functional variations and low-affective handling is not essential for this assignment. You will learn how this specific child thinks, communicates, is motivated, and absorbs new knowledge. You then use this knowledge to make every lesson and every situation during the school day an opportunity for development.

You talk to the child continuously. You put into words what you are doing, what is happening, what the child sees and ponders. You know that language develops through use. You are both physically and intellectually active, attentive, stay close, and act quickly. If you enjoy teaching, innovative methodology, puzzling things out, repeating, and finding new paths when others get stuck, you will likely love this assignment. We are looking for someone who sees opportunities, takes initiative, and is driven enough to turn ideas into action!

The family's assistants often stay for several years because they often "fall in love" with the work, as the assignment offers intellectual stimulation, great freedom, and the opportunity to follow a child's development up close, but also significant responsibility and with that, the satisfying feeling of being important and making a difference – for real. They therefore often become very close friends to the child as well as the small family they work for. "Today we cracked something the child actually couldn't do before! Hooray!" We place the greatest emphasis on your personality, your drive, your energy, mental capacity, and pedagogical fingertip sensitivity!

Even though the assignment is based on the child's school attendance, you will accompany them to doctor's visits, TV recordings, and other events on days when the child is not in school. Working hours, percentage, and salary:

The current form of employment is "for as long as the assistance assignment lasts" with a work percentage of approximately 25-100% by agreement. The work is scheduled on weekdays. The schedule and work percentage are determined by agreement between the supervisor and the assistant.

Introduction and training: Start is immediate according to the agreed summer schedule (which may differ from the autumn schedule).
