JENSEN Komvux is looking for a dedicated special needs teacher in mathematics who wants to develop in their professional role and contribute to the success of our adult students. Together with engaged colleagues, resource teams, and present managers, you will have the opportunity to develop and apply study methods that benefit adult learners.

We are looking for you who want to support students studying mathematics through individual and small group teaching. As a special needs teacher, you will contribute to students meeting the knowledge requirements and reaching their full potential, as well as promoting their development and learning.

Responsibilities and Duties

As a special needs teacher in mathematics, you work closely with students in a teaching role, either with individual students or with smaller groups.

• You plan and implement adapted teaching and support measures for students.
• You follow up, evaluate, and document the effect of the support measures implemented.
• You motivate and guide students to good study results.
• You contribute to the school's goal fulfillment and are engaged in the school's overall development.
• You are part of a team with our special educators and collaborate regarding students.

Qualifications

We are looking for an experienced and certified teacher in mathematics at the upper secondary level with additional education as a special needs teacher in mathematics, with professional experience from upper secondary school or adult education. For this position, it is crucial that you have a special needs teaching degree and the qualification to teach mathematics at the upper secondary level.

We are looking for you who have good knowledge of and experience in teaching students who struggle to reach the goals in mathematics. You have experience working with students with general math difficulties and students with dyscalculia. You can meet students where they are knowledge-wise and know how to help them fill the knowledge gaps that cause their difficulties in mathematics. The work may involve teaching at several different levels, so broad experience is meritorious. You have a genuine interest in working with students who have difficulties in mathematics. Furthermore, you have the ability to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.

Employment Type

The position is a permanent part-time employment starting immediately or as agreed. For this position, we apply a six-month probationary period.
