1 position(s).

Responsibilities

The position is full-time (100%), distributed across evening, day, and night shifts.

Your primary responsibility is to be present for the students, providing them with security, care, and the support they need during their stay in the student housing so they can progress as far as possible in their education.

You will be involved in contributing to a meaningful leisure time for our students. Together with your colleagues, you are responsible for ensuring that students are involved and have influence in their daily lives. You are expected to plan, implement, and evaluate students' individual goal plans based on current regulatory documents. This also includes performing routine tasks at the residence, such as cleaning, laundry, cooking, and medication management. The starting point for all work in the school and residence is that the child's best interest always comes first.

We offer you a varied and stimulating job where you have great opportunities to influence your own work situation through collaboration and have good development opportunities. Together with your colleagues, you are responsible for promoting a positive collaborative climate throughout the operation.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

  • Secondary education (e.g., Child and Youth Program, Care and Health Program with a focus on disabilities), or other education deemed suitable by the employer.
  • Previous experience working in residential services and with children with challenging behaviors.
  • Basic knowledge of child development and various disabilities.
  • Proficiency in Swedish Sign Language (STF) – this is a prerequisite as our sign language environment is very important.
  • Knowledge of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) methods such as picture support and tactile support.
  • Basic computer skills.

It is meritorious if you also have:

  • Experience planning and implementing leisure activities for children and young people.
  • Knowledge of low-arousal approaches (lågaffektivt bemötande).
  • Knowledge of neuropsychiatric disabilities.
  • Knowledge of ICDP (International Child Development Programme), guided interaction.

Personal Qualities

As a residential support worker at the student housing, you are expected to be involved in the planning, implementation, follow-up, and development of the operation. Social interaction and communication are important in our work.

You are flexible and have good collaboration skills with your colleagues, management, guardians, and school staff. We value qualities such as being secure, stable, reliable, and responsive, as well as the ability to see small progress.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Employment Terms

  • Employment Type: Fixed-term employment (Temporary vacancy).
  • Duration: 3–6 months.
  • A certificate of good conduct (extract from the criminal record) must be presented prior to employment.
  • In the event of a societal crisis, you may be directed to work between the agency's operational areas based on your location.

Regarding the recruitment process, we have taken a stand on recruitment channels and marketing. We decline all offers of advertising and recruitment assistance this time.
