About the position

We are looking for you who want to work as a personal assistant for a 44-year-old man living in Hallsberg. The man leads an active life with interests in music, film, and computers. He has a positive and open personality and values an active and varied life. Your duties include, among other things, assisting with personal hygiene, support during meals, cooking, laundry, cleaning, and accompanying the man in his daily life. He attends day activities regularly, and you will accompany him there.

The chemistry and interaction between you as the assistant and the man are crucial for the quality and experience of the work.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is social, sensitive, and flexible, and who takes initiative. You enjoy being outdoors and want to contribute to the man having an even more active life. You should be able to work independently but also thrive in a group setting.

We are looking for someone with personal suitability for the role. For us, this means you are responsible, patient, empathetic, and sensitive. It is important that you are punctual and can adhere to schedules, but also flexible enough to step in and cover gaps in staffing when necessary. We see that you are confident and enjoy taking initiative, both independently and in collaboration with others.

It is desirable that you have good physical fitness, are cheerful, and positive.

Experience with sign language or sign communication is a merit. You will join a transferred team of assistants who have several years of experience working with this man. It is desirable that you are a non-smoker and share the client's Christian worldview. A requirement is that you hold a valid driver's license.

Regular workplace meetings are held where the role is developed. Competence development occurs continuously. Employment at Novum Assistans requires that you have BankID and approve its use in the role.

About the employment

The position is a substitute employment based on need. Working hours vary between days, nights, evenings, and weekends. We apply a fixed-term employment "for as long as the assignment lasts" as well as hourly employment. We offer a fixed hourly wage according to agreement, along with other compensations according to the collective agreement.
