Personal Assistant for a 17-year-old with congenital brain injury – 80%

I am a 17-year-old boy living with my family within a reasonable commuting distance from Ljusnarsberg Municipality. I also have dogs and cats at home, which are a natural part of daily life. I attend school during the day and enjoy staying active, including through exercise.

I have a congenital brain injury that means I need help with everything in my daily life. As my assistant, you will be with me throughout the day – from care and meals to exercise, transfers, and various activities. You will accompany me in my environments, such as my home, school, and healthcare appointments.

I communicate through facial expressions and sounds. Since I cannot see or speak, it is important that you are attentive, patient, and willing to learn how I specifically express myself.

I am looking for someone who is stable, responsible, and contributes with a secure and positive presence. You need to be able to take initiative and work both independently and together with other assistants.

About the position

• Permanent schedule at approximately 80%
• Work in varied environments (home, school, and activities)

We are looking for someone who:

• Can handle physically active work
• Is a non-smoker
• Does not have allergies (pets live in the home)
• Enjoys being outdoors and swimming
• Has a Category B driver’s license (meritorious)
• Has previous experience in personal assistance (preferred)

The most important thing is that you want to engage in my life and be a secure person I can trust in my daily life.
