The Workplace

Älvstorp Care Home is centrally located in Nora and offers 48 residential care (HVB) places, as well as the detoxification unit 'Sobera' with 7 places, in addition to open care services.

We receive adult individuals with substance abuse issues, criminal backgrounds, mental health challenges, and higher care needs.

Our treatment is based on evidence-based knowledge, professional approach, and the individual's participation in the planning of their care.

The Position

We are now looking for treatment staff with nursing competence for a permanent position at HVB Älvstorp in Nora.

Responsibilities

As treatment and nursing staff, you will work together with your colleagues to provide the clients with a safe, stable, and meaningful stay.

Your duties are varied and include among other things:

  • Implementation of various treatment interventions and conversations.
  • Nursing care and medication management.
  • Documentation and follow-up with the commissioning authority.
  • Practical tasks that support the operations and the clients.

Requirements & Experience

Education

  • We are looking for you who have an education as an assistant nurse, caregiver, social pedagogue, or other education that the employer deems relevant for the position (at least a two-year post-secondary education).
  • A B-driver's license is required, as the position involves travel for work.

Experience

  • Previous experience working within substance abuse care is meritorious.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • Good IT skills as well as administrative ability and interest in documentation, as this is part of the job duties.

Schedule: Day/evening and weekends, 37 hours per week

Collective agreement: Treatment, care and welfare – Vision or Kommunal, depending on the nature of the duties
