My name is Ebba and I am the unit manager at Functional Support. Currently, I am looking for an engaged and confident support assistant who wants to work at two service apartments within the LSS (Act for Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) in Kumla. Here, tenants live who need support in their daily lives to live an independent and meaningful life.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a support assistant, you work with providing individually adapted support to tenants in their daily lives. The work involves strengthening independence, structure, and participation in society.

You work days, evenings, and every other weekend. At the workplace, you work alone but with proximity to colleagues when needed.

You will, among other things:

Support people with disabilities in their daily lives
Work with care and personal hygiene based on individual needs
Support in contacts with authorities and healthcare
Perform household tasks such as cleaning and cooking
Work with social support, structure, and a motivational approach
Support tenants in planning and carrying out activities
Collaborate with colleagues to create security, continuity, and a good work environment
Document according to current guidelines
Draw up and follow up implementation plans
Contribute to the operation maintaining good quality
Collaborate with relatives

QUALIFICATIONS

As a manager, I am looking for you who are engaged, confident, and responsible. You have a good manner of dealing with people and a genuine interest in supporting other people to an independent life.

You work in a structured manner, are calm, and have the ability to be flexible and adapt your approach to the individual.

I am looking for you who have:

Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
Experience with social documentation
Good computer skills
Experience working in Functional Support/LSS as well as psychiatry
Education from the Care and Nursing program, Child and Youth program, or other education assessed as equivalent
Category B driver's license for manual transmission

Meritorious experience includes:

Experience with Lifecare
Experience with solo work
Knowledge of MI (Motivational Interviewing) and other motivational working methods
Knowledge of low-affective interaction
Knowledge of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication)
