About the Position
At the Family Homes unit, social secretaries work in the roles of child case manager, family home secretary, or investigator. Here, we follow and support the child in the foster home and support the foster homes in their mission. Together, we continuously develop the operations, a work that enables participation and engagement, which we find both exciting and important.
For these positions, we are looking for child case managers who follow the care of children and young people placed in foster homes, as well as a family home secretary.
With us, you are never alone. You receive continuous support in cases from your immediate supervisor, group leader, and colleagues, and also have the opportunity for external supervision. To help you succeed in your role, there are also employees with other professions ready to support you, such as administrators, co-case managers, and transporters.

Examples of Duties
- investigate and handle cases according to the Social Services Act (SoL), the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU), and the Care of Abusers Act (LVM)
- have contacts both for investigative purposes and to contribute to strengthening individuals' own resources
- write statements to various authorities
- collaborate with external partners
- make decisions according to delegation
- collaborate with other social services
- follow up on interventions
- participate in network meetings, SAMBA, SIP
About the Workplace
The unit consists of 40 people. The Family Homes department is primarily divided into four groups that work with recruiting, investigating, and supporting our foster homes, as well as following and supporting the child in the foster home. We are located in premises near Örebro Central Station, at Ribbingsgatan 1-3.

Qualifications
Working as a social secretary with us is challenging, stimulating, and complex. Therefore, we need you who are secure and stable. We also believe that you are flexible and have an easy time adapting to changed circumstances. The work also requires that you can switch between different tasks and that you have the ability to find quick, legally secure solutions and maintain calm in stressful and pressured situations.
You prefer to work in a team with shared responsibility while also taking great responsibility for independently driving the work forward. You are receptive in contact with others and have a natural ability to put yourself in others' perspectives and situations without losing your professional integrity. The work requires good communication skills, which among other things means that you can express yourself clearly and structured in speech and writing. Of course, you are also engaged and want to participate actively in developing the work for the benefit of those we serve.
We place great importance on personal suitability.
Requirements:
- Social work degree (210 ECTS)
- Category B driver's license for manual transmission
Merits:
- experience with foster care
- experience/knowledge of working with BBIC (Barns behov i centrum / Children's Needs at the Center)
- experience/knowledge of working with MI (Motiverande samtal / Motivational Interviewing)
- experience with the documentation system Lifecare
