Are you a driven and structured person who wants to lead and develop the pedagogical work in the workplace? Then you are the support pedagogue we are looking for in our operations!
About the position
As a support pedagogue, you work to provide service recipients with support in their daily lives, combined with an extended responsibility to ensure that documentation, routines, action plans, and structures are followed and developed. This means you guide colleagues in different methods and approaches, as well as planning, implementing, evaluating, and analyzing work methods and approaches in the operation. You are also responsible for supporting and guiding staff in documentation in our Lifecare system, as well as drawing up, following up on, and developing service recipients' implementation plans.
There is one other support pedagogue at the facility, which means you have a close colleague with the same assignment to collaborate and cooperate with in daily work. Together, you contribute to developing the operation and supporting each other in the assignment.
As a support pedagogue, you work to strengthen the skills and personal development of service recipients, with a clear focus on their own participation and opportunity to influence their life situation. To ensure good living conditions for service recipients, we work based on a visual, individual, structured approach (VISA).
Examples of tasks:
- Guide colleagues in methods and approaches.
- Lead smaller training initiatives at APT or similar forums.
- Support and coordinate colleagues to become independent in drawing up and following up on implementation plans.
- Perform care interventions and tasks based on self-care and delegation.
- Coordinate collaboration with relatives and interdisciplinary teams.
- Introduce new employees and supervise students based on your professional role.
- Have good knowledge of and follow laws, policies, routines, guidelines, goals, and plans.
- Use operation systems and digital tools in work and document based on governing documents.
About the workplace
Sörbyvägen 4 is a group home located in new premises in the Tamarinden area. Today, six service recipients live at the home where eight support assistants, two support pedagogues, and one unit manager work. You and the other support pedagogue will share the responsibility of leading the pedagogical work together at the home.
The Social Services Department area for disability support provides support and services to people with physical and mental disabilities according to the Support and Service Act for Certain Disability Groups (LSS) and the Social Services Act (SoL).

Qualifications:
In this role, you need to have a good ability to meet service recipients in a professional manner by being calm, attentive, and accommodating in your interaction. It is important that you collaborate well with other people and that you relate to your colleagues in a sensitive and smooth way. Furthermore, you have a positive view of humanity with great respect for each individual's specific needs. You have a high understanding of how humans acquire knowledge and people's different prerequisites. You are a person who can take overall responsibility and who is good at taking own initiatives and often coming up with ideas and new approaches in work-related matters. You master the Swedish language to such an extent that you can communicate with the service recipient and other staff. Furthermore, you have good computer skills and can document in writing what the operation requires.

Requirements:
- University college degree in support pedagogue, treatment assistant, treatment pedagogue, social pedagogue, or activation pedagogue, alternatively 60 ECTS credits in relevant subjects (such as pedagogy, disability, psychology, behavioral science, social work, or equivalent).
- At least two years of experience within the disability support area.
Merits:
- Knowledge and experience of sign support.
- Knowledge and experience of picture support.
- Experience of working with people who have epilepsy.
- Experience of working with people with extensive care needs.
- Category B driver's license.
