ABOUT THE POSITION

At Kura Omsorg, we are looking for you who want to work as a Personal Assistant for our client in Hallsberg. The position is a temporary hourly assignment where you work on an as-needed basis, for example, when regular staff is absent.

Working hours are usually 8 hours, scheduled somewhere between 07:00 - 21:00. Start date is by agreement, and we would appreciate it if you could start the introduction immediately.

ABOUT THE CLIENT

The client is a 26-year-old young man with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), a congenital disease that causes signals between the brain and muscles to malfunction. He therefore needs support with everything in his daily life, including personal hygiene, dressing/undressing, transfers, and tube feeding (PEG). In the home, there are assistive devices such as a hoist, cough machine, shower chair, and electric wheelchair. In his spare time, he enjoys playing computer games and socializing with friends online.

ARE YOU THE ONE WE ARE LOOKING FOR?

I am looking for a person who is empathetic, cheerful, positive, resourceful, honest, patient, physically and mentally strong, with good health and quick reflexes. Preferably between 25-35 years old. Non-smoker! You should be a down-to-earth person, easy to collaborate with others, able to respect necessary work instructions, and able to accept constructive criticism. You need to be able to take independent responsibility and initiative, but will be part of a team of 3 assistants and also able to collaborate with my family and me.

• Fluent Swedish skills in both speech and writing

Employment level: Temporary hourly assignment

Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other benefits in accordance with the collective agreement.

Due to the fact that the position may involve solo work, night work, and tasks that according to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations (AFS 2012:3) cannot be performed by minors, you must be at least 18 years old to work as a personal assistant.

If you are to work with children and young people under 18, you are required to present a certificate of good conduct (extract from the criminal record). From March 1, 2026, new rules apply meaning that the register check will cover both extracts from the criminal record and the suspicion register. The extract is ordered via the Police Authority's e-service. Note that processing times may vary, so it is advisable to order well in advance.
