Welcome to apply for the Counselor position at our General Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic in Örebro! We have an experienced and driven work group and offer exciting, meaningful, and varied work!

At the clinic, in addition to your counselor colleagues, there are also psychologists, psychotherapists, doctors, occupational therapists, nurses, administrators, and a rehabilitation coordinator. In total, we are about 35 employees who are engaged in the work as well as colleagues, and we want everyone to enjoy coming to work. We help each other in the daily work regarding our patients to ensure the best possible care and treatment planning. Treatment interventions take place both individually and in groups. We collaborate with primary care, habilitation, user organizations, the municipality's social psychiatry, and other healthcare neighbors. We are located at the University Hospital in Örebro, close to the bus and train station and Örebro's beautiful city park.

The counselors at our clinic have a broad area of work with the possibility of several different directions depending on interest, as the clinic is divided into three different teams: the Lifecare Team, the ADHD Team, and the General Team.

We are now looking for a counselor for our General Team who follows up and treats patients with specialist psychiatric diagnoses such as severe depression, severe anxiety, and personality disorders. As a counselor with us, you offer CBT treatment, both individually and in groups, as well as psychosocial support when needed, and collaborate with other healthcare providers around the patient. You participate in SIP meetings and, if necessary, conduct structured suicide risk assessments and offer suicide prevention in accordance with our routines. You participate in treatment conferences together with other professional competencies for teamwork in current patient cases and have good collaboration with inpatient care. Social Work degree. Meritorious is education in basic psychotherapy (step 1), licensed health and social care counselor, and/or experience from general psychiatric or specialist psychiatric care.

General Psychiatry Outpatient Care is part of the General Psychiatry operational area. Our general psychiatric clinics are located in Hallsberg, Karlskoga, Lindesberg, and Örebro. Specialized clinics for e.g., electroconvulsive therapy, affective disorders, neuropsychiatric investigations, deaf psychiatry, and gender dysphoria are located in Örebro. We work with both individual and group treatment as well as planned and acute visits and telephone advice. Rehabilitation is included as part of our work, as well as mobile interventions through our specialist psychiatric nursing teams (SPOT) and patient and next-of-kin education. Together we work with common processes and goals. We work in multidisciplinary teams from a holistic view of the human being and adapt care interventions to the patient's needs and conditions. We work to promote the participation of next-of-kin in care.
