We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a structured and independent accounting manager for a group of companies with multiple operations. The group consists of approximately 10 active companies, several of which are smaller and have limited ongoing activity. The combined turnover of the operations is approximately 30 million SEK. This is a broad and exciting role for you who want to work closely with owners and management, gain insight into various businesses, and contribute to structure, control, and order in the ongoing financial work.

The client operates several different businesses, including car sales and workshops, real estate, gyms, and beverage operations with alcoholic drinks. This implies a varied role where you work close to the operations, while the main focus lies on ongoing bookkeeping, accounting, reconciliations, and creating order in the financial flows.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the accounting manager, you will have operational responsibility for the ongoing accounting in several companies. This role suits you if you thrive working independently, creating structure, and maintaining good control over bookkeeping, reconciliations, payments, payroll, and financial flows.

The main focus is on the car business, which is by far the largest part of the group in terms of turnover. There, you will be present approximately 2–3 days per week and work closely with the operations regarding daily financial flows, reconciliations, payments, customer flows, supplier flows, and monthly closing.

The remaining time is primarily focused on a few clear main flows, such as real estate-related accounting, gym operations, and the beverage business.

This is a role for you who want responsibility and variety, but without personnel or budget responsibility. The position is being filled because the business is growing, and the group now wants to move the financial work from an external provider to in-house management. You will enter a stage where the right person has the opportunity to contribute with structure, control, and improvements in the financial work, while an experienced external person is available as a sounding board during the transition.

YOUR TASKS (selection)

Ongoing accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll

  • Responsible for ongoing accounting and bookkeeping for the active companies
  • Handle customer and supplier ledgers, payment flows, bank and account reconciliations, and ongoing follow-up
  • Handle VAT returns, taxes, and declarations related to the companies
  • Handle payroll for approximately 13 people per month, distributed across two of the companies in the group

Car Business

  • Handle daily financial flows related to cash, card payments, daily reconciliations, daily reports, and payments
  • Handle accounting and administrative flows related to, for example, car purchases, car sales, exchanges, inventory, workshop, service, detailing, and warranty cases
  • Responsible for the monthly closing of the car business
  • Maintain ongoing contact with the workshop manager, site manager, and other operations regarding financial matters
  • Participate in the management group for the car business and contribute with financial follow-up, reconciliations, and materials as needed

Other Companies

  • Handle ongoing accounting, reconciliations, and follow-up for other companies in the group
  • Work with financial flows related to real estate operations, such as rent invoicing and follow-up
  • Handle accounting related to the beverage business and familiarize yourself with relevant tax issues, such as excise duty on spirits
  • Prepare relevant materials for the annual report and, if necessary, compile the annual report with the support of an external person

We believe you have worked for a few years in an independent financial function and are accustomed to handling ongoing bookkeeping, reconciliations, payments, and follow-up with good structure. You need to be meticulous, unpretentious, and confident in prioritizing between several parallel flows.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in accounting
  • Relevant education in accounting or economics
  • Good understanding of ongoing bookkeeping, VAT, taxes, and reconciliations
  • Experience with monthly closing and year-end work
  • Experience with payroll administration
  • Good system proficiency and ability to quickly adapt to new financial systems

Merits

  • Experience with accounting for multiple companies simultaneously
  • Experience with the Hogia financial system, which is used in the operations.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

Working hours: 08:00 to 17:00

Scope: Full-time, 6-month probationary period

Start date: As soon as possible

Salary: Fixed salary according to agreement

Location: Viken, approximately 25 minutes north of Helsingborg by car

Placement: The role is primarily based in the office in Viken. You will work 2–3 days per week at the office near the car business and the remaining time at the office near the real estate business, where the CEO and other key personnel are located. Some flexibility for remote work may exist for occasional needs, but you must be prepared for the role to be performed primarily on-site.
