About the role

On behalf of our client, we are now looking for several AML Investigators for a long-term assignment with immediate start. We are looking for both full-time consultants and students with the possibility to work part-time (and full-time during the summer). As an AML Investigator, you will play a central role in preventing economic crime. You will work with analyzing complex transaction data and customer information to ensure good regulatory compliance.

This is a consultancy assignment where you will be employed by Academic Work and work on behalf of our client. We are looking for you who have the possibility to start immediately and who see the assignment long-term. You will be based at the office in Malmö where the work will initially be performed on-site only.

Responsibilities

In the role of AML Investigator, you are part of the operational AML work and focus on ensuring customer onboarding and the ongoing monitoring of customers and their behavior. Main responsibilities central to the assignment:

• Perform transaction monitoring, handle alerts, and investigate suspicious activities related to money laundering and terrorist financing
• Analyze suspicious activities and high-risk customers (incl. PEPs and sanctions lists) and conduct risk assessments
• Responsible for customer due diligence processes (KYC), onboarding of new customers, and ongoing customer contact for information gathering
• Document and compile investigations and prepare materials for internal reporting
• Contribute to the development and improvement of internal AML processes and routines

We are looking for you who

• Have at least 6–12 months of previous experience in AML work related to corporate customers
• Have very good knowledge of Swedish and English
• Have good knowledge of the Money Laundering Act and other relevant regulations
• (For the part-time role): Are currently pursuing academic studies in economics, law, or similar, expected to continue for at least 1 year
