Västra Berga School is a grades F-9 school with adapted primary school and training school. In total, we have 380 students and 80 employees. We are a resource-rich school with the will and ability to change and develop our operations.

Job Description

At Västra Berga, we are now looking for an art teacher for grades 4-9 as well as the adapted primary school.

We are a small school where everyone knows everyone, and where all students are "ours". At Västra Berga, the art subject gets its place – both in the schedule and in the premises. You have the privilege of teaching students in half-classes and/or smaller groups, which makes it possible to actually guide and mentor students in the creative process. This also enables formative assessment, creative conversations, and, not least, relationship building, which we consider a prerequisite for learning.

Teaching takes place in a fresh, newly renovated art room with an associated workspace/office. We believe that the learning environment is important for creativity, and you will be welcomed by a school that welcomes creative projects and aesthetic forms of expression. Your colleagues are happy to collaborate on cross-curricular projects.

As a teacher, you will conduct planning, teaching, evaluation, pedagogical documentation, mentorship, contact with guardians, and collaborate with work teams and others. You lead and develop the pedagogical work and create the best possible conditions for every student.

Qualifications

You have a license and degree as an art teacher and preferably another PREST subject. You, as an applicant, want new challenges or are about to start your journey as an art teacher.
