About the School

Prästavångsskolan has a total of approximately 370 students. Currently, the school is divided by stage into two school units, but in the autumn of 2026, the school will merge into a single F-6 school. The school also has five preschool-class and after-school care departments; four year-group-based after-school care departments for grades F-3 and one joint after-school care department for the older students in grades 4-6.

For many years, the school has worked to promote health through health councils, value-based teams, and student health teams. Our physical activity initiative in collaboration with RF-SISU Skåne permeates a large part of the school's operations and recesses. In recent years, we have also become a "Reading Owns" school, linking reading with physical activity with extra reading-promoting initiatives before and during holidays. Reading should be a natural part of both the school and the after-school care.

Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for you who are a true inspiration and who enjoy developing and being developed in your role as a teacher. You collaborate closely with your colleagues both within the year group and with other teachers across grades F-3. The teaching staff has close collaboration and conducts purposeful collegial learning, led by lead teachers, with increased goal achievement as the focus.

Östra Göinge Municipality is in the midst of a major school initiative that started in 2022. During the year, the initiative has accelerated further in the new phase "Skolresan 2.0" (The School Journey 2.0). Our prioritized areas – Knowledge and Learning, Safety and Study Environment, and Future Dreams – are at the center of all work done at the school, with accessible education as the foundation.

Language-developing approaches, cooperative learning, and the use of digital tools in teaching are a matter of course. We use iPads in the preschool class (F-class) and work mostly one-to-one with Chromebooks in grades 1-3. You are well familiar with these digital tools, among others, and they form a natural part of your teaching.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with the eligibility to teach in grades F-3.

You are a skilled pedagogue with good didactic ability and can organize and structure your work based on stated goals. You have good self-insight, are confident in yourself and in your pedagogical leadership, and have the ability to take leadership. You present yourself professionally in your interaction with students, guardians, and colleagues, while being attentive and patient. You are well acquainted with accessible education and apply it in your classroom work.

You have high expectations for students, believe that everyone can succeed, and are willing to create the best conditions for this. You collaborate easily and see collaboration with others as a source of development. Naturally, you also express yourself well both orally and in writing.
